5.8. The fuel filter

The fuel filter is established behind on the right on a body floor. At filter dismantle fuel can flow out, therefore it is necessary to observe necessary safety measures.

For filter replacement it is necessary to execute the following:

- To establish the car on support and to substitute capacity under the filter;

- To press out fuel hoses 1 (fig. 123) blooming rings corresponding to them and to cut collars of 2 hoses kusachkami-bokorezami (at installation to use collars with fastening by bolts);

- To turn out a bolt of 3 fastenings and to remove a collar;

- To disconnect the fuel filter from hoses and to take out it. The filter is filled by fuel which can flow out. To observe a direction of installation of the filter. The arrow specifies in a direction of movement of a stream of fuel;

- To establish on hoses the new filter according to a direction specified by an arrow, and slightly to tighten collars with fastening bolts;

- To establish the filter with a collar on carving connection and completely to tighten bolts of fastening of collars;

- After the work termination to make a short trip then to check up tightness of hoses.
