2.3. A head of the block of cylinders and valves




Taking into account feature of a design газораспределительного it is necessary to pay attention of the mechanism to a number of important points, which should be known before to begin any works on a head of the block of cylinders:
1) the camshaft is supplied by five bearings. The back bearing serves for axial fixing of a camshaft;
2) in connection with installation of hydraulic pushers before completion of saddles of valves it is necessary to consider the following:
- On model Polo camshafts of various designs therefore there was a divergence in phases timing were established. For the new engine in volume of 1,4 l other design of a camshaft is characteristic;
- To get access to springs of valves and pushers, at camshaft dismantle it is necessary to observe special recommendations that will allow to avoid shaft deformation. As camshafts of the engines considered in the given management, have a various design, it is necessary to specify an engine designation to receive the necessary shaft;
- It is not required to regulate often backlashes between a pusher and the directing plug — indemnification of deterioration of the ends of cores of valves is carried out thanks to action of hydraulic pushers;
- The manufacturer often does not specify exact values for check of working backlashes of cores of valves, measurement of length of springs being in a free condition etc. as these parametres are measured by means of calibres. Service centre Volkswagen can give more exact information;
- Landing nests клапанных springs, springs of valves and sealing rings of cores of valves are remote, as they are in ledges of a head of the block of cylinders. The subsequent operations are carried out by means of the auxiliary tool in exact conformity with the recommendations resulted here. At removal of valves to watch how details — pushers have been established, crackers of valves, the top plates of valves, internal and external springs of valves, sealing rings of cores of valves and a nest of springs of valves.
