7.4. A cable of a drive of coupling
Coupling is put in action by means of a cable of a drive of coupling. Adjustment is spent automatically on a countersupport of this cable in a motor compartment on the top party of the case of a transmission, the free wheeling of a pedal of coupling does not demand additional adjustment. If at coupling deenergizing there are problems, before to begin other works, it is necessary to check up correctness of adjustment as follows:
To "walk" under the scheme of the mechanism of a pedal of coupling and to be convinced that it has not received any damages;
- To press a pedal of coupling not less than five times against the stop;

- In a place of fastening of a cable of a drive of management of the coupling, specified in fig. 141 to move the lever of deenergizing of coupling approximately on 10 mm in a direction opposite to a usual working course. The lever should move freely. At check carrying out important preliminary to press five times a pedal that the adjustment mechanism could work. If it is not possible to move the lever, it is necessary to change a cable.

At replacement of a pedal of coupling it is necessary to operate as follows (on fig. 140 it is shown how the cable is laid):
- To press a pedal of coupling not less than five times against the stop;
- To remove a wire of "weight" from the accumulator. If in the car the automobile radio receiver with the device of protection against plunders it is necessary to remember that for inclusion of a radio receiver after battery connection it is necessary to know a protective code is established;

- On a basis fig. 142 to extend a cable of a drive of management coupling by sharp jerk in a direction And from fastening knot on the lever of deenergizing of coupling;
- To wring out an external cover in a direction In to a forward wall until it will be possible to achieve full compression of the mechanism of adjustment of a cable in the location of a rubber cuff With;

- On a basis fig. 143 to disconnect a cable from fastening knot on a transmission. For this purpose to keep a cable of coupling by one hand and to take out a clamp 3 cables from fastening knot;

- To take out the ware box which is below at the left on the party of the driver. To make it it is not simple. At first it is necessary to press 144 emphasis specified in fig. in the direction specified by arrows, and then to turn away both bolts specified in fig. 145. To remove the relay panel from fastening. Not to disconnect thus a wire from clips;

- To remove a casing of a pedal of coupling from the assembly conductor;
- To disconnect a cable from a pedal of coupling and to take out it from the car. The cable end is kept by means of a roller in a directing pedal of coupling. The rubber sealing plug 5 (fig. 140 see ) remains in a forward wall, that is it is necessary to stretch a cable to (push) through it cautiously. Otherwise at cable installation it is necessary to compress a rubber cover again. Cable installation is spent to sequences, return to removal, at observance of following moments:
- Fastening place on a coupling pedal to grease with a small amount of plastic graphite greasing and to push a coupling pedal through a forward wall. At an exit of the rubber sealing plug outside again to return it on an installation site. Strictly to watch that the cable at installation was not exposed to a bend, otherwise it will have an adverse effect on work of the mechanism of automatic adjustment of coupling. To fix a cable by means of metal details (to tighten metal corners to press out a cable a metal collar). On fig. 147 it is shown, how the cable should be established and fasten;

- To establish being on the end of a cable a roller in a pedal, as is shown in fig. 146;

- To fix the cable ends according to fig. 143 on a transmission and to fix a cable in fastening knot. Thus to stretch a cover of a cable 2 in a direction of movement and to establish the rubber shock-absorber in the lever of 1 coupling;
The prevention
If a cable cover to stretch in a movement direction it is not possible, the cable being in it should be pushed some times forward-back, yet it will not be possible to compress the plug in the location of a rubber cuff In, specified in fig. 142. If covers still do not manage to be combined with each other it is necessary to try to put again in action the mechanism of adjustment of a cable as it is described in a final part of the given section.

- To establish a casing on the assembly conductor;
- To establish the relay panel in the holder. Carefully to check up clips of fastening of wires and the relay;
- To press successively some times a coupling pedal;
- After installation to check up work of the mechanism of adjustment of a cable as it is described above;
- Again to connect the accumulator. If it is necessary, to enter a code of protection of a radio receiver.
