6.4.2. Dismantle and installation of the distributor of ignition

For distributor dismantle it is necessary:
- To remove wires of a high voltage from a cover of the distributor or to uncover the distributor, having wrung out spring clips;
- To take out the tip of the gauge of the Hall, being on a distributor lateral face. Thus to compress fixing uvulas, to liberate the tip;
- To turn the engine until the piston of the first cylinder will not appear in ВМТ a compression step, and to note a sharp subject position of the top point of a rotor on an external lateral surface of the case of the distributor. The label with which help position of a rotor of the distributor when the piston of the first cylinder is in ВМТ is verified is put on a lateral surface of the distributor. - To turn away both bolts of fastening of the distributor and to take out the distributor from a head of the block of cylinders. To remove the sealing ring of round section enclosed under it.
If the engine was not scrolled or on the distributor was not spent any repair work again to establish the distributor in initial position.
If the distributor establish after repair of the engine or the engine was turned to operate as follows:
- To deduce the piston of the first cylinder in ВМТ a compression step, that is both valves should be closed (if the cover of a head of the block of cylinders) is removed, or to turn the engine until the label on a belt pulley will not be established on one line with an adjusting metal plate on a forward part of the engine;
- To develop a distributor rotor so that it has been turned towards the put label on the brink of the distributor case;
- Again to establish the ignition distributor, both bolts and to tighten them;
- Again to insert the tip into a socket on the distributor and to press fixing uvulas;
- In summary to check up the ignition moment. For this purpose it is necessary to use necessarily a lamp with flash (stroboscope) which gives the chance to observe how the ignition advancing is regulated.
