6.2. Safety measures at work on ignition system

To avoid defeat by an electric current or damage of system of ignition, at carrying out of any works on ignition system it is necessary to observe following safety measures:

- With a warm stimulator it is forbidden to persons to spend works on ignition system if it is necessary to deal with a detachment of wires;

- Not to disconnect a high voltage wire at the working engine, not to touch them hands at start-up;

- Any detachment of wires of system of ignition from clips is necessary for spending only at the idle engine. The same concerns connection of instrumentations, and the ignition system also should be disconnected;

- It is impossible to connect a control lamp to a clip of "1" coils of ignition ("a minus" clip), and measuring devices and a lamp with light flash cannot be connected to a clip of "15" coils of ignition. It is impossible to connect the condenser to a clip 1;

- If it is necessary to scroll the engine by means of a starter, for example at compression check in cylinders it is necessary to switch off ignition and to take out the tip of the gauge of the Hall on a lateral face of the distributor of ignition;

- At carrying out of electrowelding works to disconnect the storage battery;

- If the car is towed in connection with malfunction of system of ignition it is necessary to disconnect the block of management of system;

- In need of replacement of a rotor of the distributor of ignition it is necessary to use the detail specified in the instruction. The rotor has a corresponding designation on which it can be identified;

- The engine sink is necessary for spending only at the switched off ignition.
