2.6.4. Cuffs of a cranked shaft

It is necessary to replace forward and back cuffs of a cranked shaft at each removal of a cranked shaft or covers. As it has already been mentioned, with reference to a back cuff it means full replacement of the complete set of a cover with a cuff. Thus it is necessary to observe special safety measures and to have the special tool which list is resulted more low. A cuff with a cover can be replaced as well at the established engine if it is accurately visible that oil flows in the given zone. Proskalzyvanie couplings can be caused, for example, негерметичностью back маслоуплотнительного rings.
Removal of cuffs
In case of need removals of a forward cuff it is necessary to dismantle поликлиновой a belt, a protective cover of a gear belt, a gear belt and pulleys of a cranked shaft. For unscrewing of bolts of a pulley of a cranked shaft to include the fifth transfer, to brake the car a lay brake and to turn away a bolt by means of a face head.
For removal of a forward cuff usually it is necessary to use the tool presented on fig. 55. Removal is spent by the same way as it is described for a camshaft cuff in подразд. 2.3.7. Nevertheless there is also a difference. As the tool is impossible запрессовать in a cuff it is necessary to insert carefully oiled stripper into it and to screw it by means of ratchet муфты. After that to weaken the handle and to rotate an internal detail in a direction of a cranked shaft until the cuff does not leave. On fig. 81 it is shown how to establish the tool and ratchet муфту.

Before removal of a back cuff and, accordingly, covers it is necessary to remove preliminary a transmission, coupling and a flywheel before begins to disconnect probably a cover with a cuff. It is necessary to replace the lining located under it always.
Installation of cuffs
On the engine established on the car, cuff installation is possible only with application of the special tool.
For cuff installation it is necessary to put on directing plug of the involving adaptation 3083 a neck of a cranked shaft, to oil the internal and external parties of a cuff and to put on it directing sleeve. Then to put on the press plug of the adaptation directing plug and to tighten a bolt being in the middle, as is shown in fig. 82, before cuff landing. After that again to dismantle adaptation details.

All other works to spend to sequences, return to dismantle. To establish a gear pulley of a cranked shaft on a shaft. To oil a carving part of a bolt and after screwing up to tighten a bolt the moment equal 90 Нм. From this position, using a standard nut, to tighten a bolt further on 1/3 turns (120 ). The additional inhaling of a bolt can be spent for some operations. It is important, that the corner 120 finally has been reached. For an inhaling it is possible to use the graduated disk.
