1.5. Instructions on use of an automobile jack and other adaptations at a car raising

First of all it is necessary to be convinced that the automobile jack comes into space between a threshold of the car and a floor. An automobile jack, including подкатной, it is possible to establish only sideways bodies.

For a raising of a forward part it is necessary to bring a jack under a place of strengthening of the design, specified in fig. 6, to brake the car a lay brake and to enclose with a view of safety on an opposite side on one emphasis under a back and forward wheel. Thus to watch that the back edge of a head of a jack was on one line with the centre of the beaten out marks. The back wheel needs to be fixed, having enclosed under it a brick or клиновый an emphasis.

For posting of a back part it is necessary to bring a jack, as is shown in fig. 7, under a place of strengthening of a design. In this case the back edge of a head of a jack also should be on one line with the centre of the beaten out marks.

To include transfer and to enclose bricks on an opposite side under both wheels.

It is obligatory to pay attention to that the basis on which it is supposed to establish support, was not too soft that they could not give. If under wheels подкатного a jack to enclose a board of sufficient width such possibility will be substantially excluded. The same concerns and an added jack. Sometimes it seems that the ground firm, will not be found out yet that jack wheels slowly give. Support can be used only under a body board, however they should have a corresponding thickness not to damage a body. The piece of an old automobile tyre established between a support and a body will fit. It is necessary to apply support-tripods (fig. 8).

Miniplatforms represent the best variant for a car raising as in this case it is possible to do without a jack. At a raising it is necessary, naturally, to watch for, that they were put precisely before wheels, to achieve preservation of a direction of entrance. For additional reliability in a basic surface of a platform there should be a deepening for wheels. On fig. 9 it is shown, how the wheel on a platform should settle down. Depending on the wheel party it is necessary to involve a lay brake or to include transfer.
