14.8.1. Removal and installation of cables of a lay brake

For removal and installation of cables it is necessary to execute following operations:

- To turn away a nut 8 and 6 (fig. 310) fastenings of cables of a brake to the equalizer 5 lay brakes to turn on nuts 4 and to extend cables from the lever;

- To disconnect cables of a lay brake from levers on brake колодках after they have been disconnected from a brake board (fig. 301 see). To release cables from all knots of fastening and to take out them;

- Installation of cables of a lay brake is spent to sequences, return to removal;

- After replacement of cables in regular intervals to tighten both adjusting nuts on the equalizer of a lay brake to a tension of cables. To check up adjustment of cables and to adjust their tension.
