It is impossible to replace steering draughts at the established steering. The left steering draught on the new car the noncontrollable. At its replacement it is possible to establish only adjustable steering draught. The mechanism is necessary for clamping in a vice. On fig. 239 it is shown, how steering draughts are attached to gear рейке.

For replacement of steering draughts it is necessary to execute following operations:

- To open a tightening ring of a cover on lateral aspect for what to compress both ends of a ring, to remove a cover from the case gear рейки and to move it along steering draught, without damaging;

- Having weakened the big counternut on the end gear рейки, to disconnect old cross-section draught. For this purpose it is used рожковый a wrench;

- Using a key, to weaken the case of a bolt with a spherical head.

- To deduce gear рейку in average position, turning its gear wheel until while gear рейка does not leave on both ends for identical length the case, as is shown in fig. 248.

At installation of new steering draughts on gear рейке it is necessary to spend some measurements:

- To move gear рейку in the case before position while both ends gear рейки will not act precisely on 67,0 mm. Measurements are spent from edge of the case to an end face рейки, and the received size is designated as and;

- To screw up counternuts till the end of gear рейки and to screw steering draughts before position when the size specified in drawing b will make precisely 69,5 mm. The size from edge of the case to a plane of the internal spherical hinge in this case acts in film;

- To tighten a counternut the moment 50 Нм and to put on a cover. To get a tightening ring in a flute and to release the ends.

Even in the event that two adjustable steering draughts are established, the convergence of wheels can be regulated only on the right steering draught.

At replacement of the left steering draught by the adjustable it is necessary to adjust new steering draught for the same length on which old, noncontrollable steering draught has been established. For this purpose to measure the size between the standing vertically and directed bolt standing vertically downwards with a spherical head and an internal surface of the internal spherical hinge of steering draught. To develop in appropriate way a tip of cross-section steering draught and to tighten a counternut 2 (fig. 239 see) the moment 50 Нм. Though new steering draught is delivered already preliminary adjusted, measurement should be spent nevertheless.

At replacement of the right (adjustable) steering draught to deduce the steering mechanism approximately in average position and to deduce the size in the way described above on the specified value.

After replacement of one of steering draughts always to supervise a convergence of wheels and if necessary to spend adjustment (see подразд. 10.5.1).
