3.1. Removal and installation of the oil pallet

The oil pallet can be dismantled on the engine established on the car. To dismantle the oil pallet (engines AAE and АЕХ, and also the engines made since March, 1995), established on герметизирующей to weight, the drill with a rotating plastic brush and шабер is necessary.
For removal and installation of the oil pallet it is necessary to execute the following:
- To merge engine oil;

- To take out from a transmission the right shaft of a drive. Corresponding recommendations see section 10;
- To dismantle a protective casing of a belt;
- To disconnect the oil pallet. To get access to some bolts, in a repair truck use a special head. In case of its absence it is possible to take advantage of a usual head;
- To remove the oil pallet. If it "was pasted" (first of all it probably for the pallets condensed герметизирующей in weight), not to insert a screw-driver into an aperture between consolidation surfaces, and to knock with a rubber hammer along the edges of the oil pallet that it to liberate. Then it can be lowered downwards. To remove consolidation with картера or the oil pallet if it is.
At installation of the oil pallet it is necessary to pay attention to the following.
Engines ADX, AEA and AEV
On these engines always to apply new consolidation if it has been established. Not to put greasing or hermetic on surfaces of consolidation of the oil pallet or картера. Consolidation to establish dry and pure;
- To watch that "wrinkles" were not formed at installation of consolidation and the oil pallet and consolidation was not displaced;
- To tighten bolts in regular intervals cross-wise. The bolts which are on a cover with a cuff on the party of a flywheel of the engine, it is very difficult to establish. To screw these bolts, into them insert a head. Bolts tighten the moment 15–20 Нм;
- After an inhaling of bolts immediately to screw a stopper of a drain aperture and to tighten its moment 30 Нм;
- To establish in a transmission the dismantled shaft of a drive (section 10 see);
- To fill in in the engine of oil of 3,5 l if the filter was replaced, or 3,0 l if the lining was replaced only. If there is no measured vessel, it is possible to fill in oil until its level on маслоизмерительном щупе will not reach a label MIN. To start up the engine and to add 1 more l of oil that oil level on measuring щупе has reached labels MAX. Not to suppose At all an oil modulation;
- After replacement of consolidation of the oil pallet it is recommended to make a trial trip and to check up absence of leak of oil. Therefore after engine warming up it is necessary to put once again the car on подъмник and from below to check up tightness of all connections.
Engines AEE and АЕХ
On these engines and their predecessors with condensing connection with the help герметизирующей weights before removal of the oil pallet it is necessary to spend a number of a spadework:
- To process a consolidation surface картера flat шабером;

- To take in hands the oil pallet. On it the rests old герметизирующей weights are visible. However simply соскаблить it it is impossible, as it is possible to damage a pallet surface. To clear surfaces it is necessary on a circle a drill by means of the rotating brush fixed in it made of plastic (fig. 90). If such brush is not present, the consolidation surface should be cleared a very carefully plastic shovel. It is important not to damage a consolidation surface.
Before to establish the oil pallet, it is necessary to get a tube with герметизирующей in weight. Fastening of the pallet by bolts is necessary for spending within 5 minutes after drawing герметизирующей weights, therefore for performance of this work it is necessary to be prepared in appropriate way. It is necessary to study following recommendations about installation attentively.
For pallet installation it is necessary to execute the following:
- To cut off a head of a tube at the top label. As a result diameter of the cut off head will be equal about 3 mm;

- To put герметизирующую weight on a circle as it is specified in fig. 91, on the surface of the oil pallet cleared of greasing and oil. The germetizirujushchaja weight is put by a layer in the thickness about 3–4 mm from the interior of apertures under bolts (places are specified by arrows);

The prevention
The layer герметизирующей should not be thicker than weight, than is specified, as differently it can get to the oil pallet and even to hammer маслозаборник.

- Quickly to move up the oil pallet to картеру, without displacing thus герметизирующую weight. To establish bolts and to tighten them;
- To tighten all bolts of the oil pallet cross-wise the moment equal 15 Нм;

The prevention
It is impossible to start up the engine of the car within 30 minutes. Not to fill in at all at once engine oil.

- To spend all other works after specified time in return sequence. Now it is possible to fill in oil in the engine according to the resulted instructions.
