15.1. The storage battery
The storage battery established in the car (12) includes six accumulators, the consisting from positive and negative plates which are in electrolit. The accumulator submits electric energy for start-up of the engine, car illumination, for other consumers.
The works specified further are necessary for spending regularly to prolong battery service life:
- It is necessary to keep the storage battery clean. Its surface always should be absolutely dry, otherwise between cells there can be current leaks on a surface owing to what the battery is discharged;
- Electrolit level always should reach a label on the case. For level restoration it is necessary to add only the distilled water.

The prevention
In cold weather do not leave the storage battery in not charged condition as it will freeze. Slabozarjazhennye accumulators freeze faster.
