9.1. Removal and installation of a shaft of a drive of wheels

Preventions
After unscrewing of a 12-faced nut it is impossible to suppose, that the weight of the car had on wheels, thus it is possible to damage bearings of wheels. However at car installation on supports it is necessary to weaken a nut (nuts) tension. Thus, the car should be established on reliable support. The drive shaft is necessary for removing only when the car after dismantle should not be moved.

At removal it is necessary to execute following operations:
- To establish a forward part of the car on reliable support so that the forward bridge has been unloaded;
- To turn away a 12-faced nut;
- To disconnect a guard from the cross-section lever of a suspension bracket;

- To turn away bolts of fastening of flanges of power shafts on a transmission. To use for this purpose a many-sided face head in diameter of 8 mm which looks the same as also a face key, but has 12 sides instead of 6;
- To disconnect a power shaft from a transmission and to lift it over a transmission. If to disconnect a shaft at once it is not possible, it is necessary to shake it here and there;

- To note a paint or a marker position of installation of the bolts specified in fig. 218, and to turn away the bolts specified by arrows. At installation bolts should return on the former places;
- If it is necessary to remove and the right power shaft, it is necessary (at catalyst installation) to turn away a flat lock washer of fastening of the ljambda-gauge;

- Now by means of the adaptation выпрессовать полуось from a wheel nave. It is screwed how is shown on fig. 219. At an inhaling of an average bolt the shaft forces the way through a wheel nave. The assistant should observe of an inside not to admit blow of a shaft with other details of the car;
- To extend полуось from the inside from a wheel nave.
It is necessary to remember that execution of power shafts from the different parties not the identical. On a left-hand side the shaft continuous and is shorter. Longer shaft on the right is made of a pipe. Installation of shaft is spent to sequences, return to removal, taking into account the following:
- At installation of a new shaft it is necessary to clear carefully шлицы and a carving of paint traces. Old shaft to clear of a rust. To put greasing on шлицы;
- Drive shaft to insert into a wheel nave, pushing it through a nave as it is possible more deeply that the carving end has come to light;
- To screw on the shaft end a new self-stopped 12-faced nut and to tighten it, to get the external hinge in a wheel nave;
- To establish the hinge, to centre according to the put marks three bolts (fig. 218 see) and to tighten their moment 35 Нм;
- To fix a power shaft bolts on a target flange of a shaft of a transmission. Bolts to tighten a key with a special face head the moment 45 Нм;
- Guard to fix bolts on the suspension bracket lever. If it is required, to establish a flat lock washer of fastening of a wire of the ljambda-gauge and to fix a wire (only for the right shaft);
- After installation of wheels the car can be lowered again on the earth definitively to tighten a 12-faced nut. The inhaling moment makes 50 Нм + 30 , but it is reached in two stages:
- To wrap a 12-faced nut the moment of an inhaling 200 Нм, then to weaken an inhaling on one turn;
- To tighten a nut till the moment of an inhaling equal 50 Нм;

- To note one top of a 12-faced nut, for example, a paint or a marker to put a label And (fig. 220) and to put the second label In on an edge of a nave of a wheel above the following top of a 12-faced nut. Labels should be located at an angle 30 ;
- To tighten a nut before combination of both labels.
Now a shaft reliably will tighten. As the nut self-stopped, кернение is not required. To tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel.
