4.2.1. The control of a cover of a broad tank and a radiator

The cooling system works under superfluous pressure. The cover of a broad tank has a spring, the valve which opens at superfluous pressure 1,3–1,5 атм. At an elevated pressure the temperature of boiling of a liquid exceeds 100 With.

For the cover control it is necessary to have special опрессовочный the pump. It is screwed on a cover (fig. 99) and put in action before valve opening. It should occur before achievement of the specified pressure. If it not so it is necessary to replace a tank cover.

Using the same опрессовочный the pump, it is possible same way to check up all system of cooling on presence of leakings. For this purpose the pump is connected to a broad tank. Superfluous pressure lead up to 1,0 атм and check on a manometre that pressure keeps not less than 2 minutes If it does not occur, cooling system негерметична.
