3.2.2. Check and repair of the oil pump

The pump can be disassembled, having disconnected a cover of the pump with маслозаборником to get access to pump gear wheels. On gear wheels spend two kinds of check. At excess of maximum permissible deterioration is better to establish the new pump. Маслозаборник it is possible to wash out gasoline.

For definition of deterioration of the oil pump it is necessary:

- Carefully to clear the pump and to insert щуп between lateral surfaces of teeths, as is shown in fig. 93. If it is possible to insert щуп in the thickness more than 0,20 mm, means, will reach limiting deterioration. Measurement shows a lateral backlash of gear wheels which at new gear wheels makes 0,05 mm. By result of measurement it is possible to judge degree of deterioration of the pump;

- To establish a goniometer on a surface of the pump and to measure щупом a backlash between a plane of a square and the top party of a gear wheel, as shown нарис. 94. If it is possible to enter щуп in the thickness more than 0,15 mm — will reach limiting deterioration, it is necessary to replace the pump;

- To take out from a cover of the pump of a detail редукционного the valve and to check up them. If details are worn out, it is necessary to replace the valve or the pump.
